Hello, my name is Ryan Wise and I'm a filmmaker living in Los Angeles, California.  One of my recent projects is the award winning documentary I Am Thor.  After premiering at the Slamdance Film Festival in 2015, the film toured the world in numerous film festivals some of which include the Florida Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival, New Zealand International Film Festival and the Fantasia International Film Festival where it won Best Documentary.  It was picked up for worldwide distribution by MPI Media Group and kicked off the theatrical release with a tour of the film followed by a live rock show from THOR himself.  After the theatrical release the movie was released on DVD, Blu-Ray, TV and Netflix in the US and internationally.

I Am Thor was well received by critics scoring an 88% on the Rotten Tomatoes Meter.  Twitch Films called it "a very winning documentary."  Birth.Movie.Death said "I Am Thor is the often uproarious, and sometimes quite poignant, love letter he deserves."  The Hollywood Reporter called it "an entertainingly eccentric doc."

In 2006 me and a few other guys founded Big Fantastic, a production company specializing in premium web video content, creating over 400 episodes in six years.  In 2008, The Hollywood Reporter declared Big Fantastic a "Digital Powerhouse," and in 2009 we were listed as one of OnHollywood's Top 100 web companies.  Repped by the United Talent Agency, Big Fantastic sold numerous web series as well as television and film scripts.

Our first two series, Sam Has 7 Friends and Prom Queen were each Emmy-nominated for Outstanding Broadband Drama, and both sold to Michael Eisner's web studio Vuguru. Prom Queen went on to become one of the biggest online originals at the time, with over 40 Million views, a DVD release, syndication sales in over 45 countries, and a successful format adaptation for the Japanese market.  In a Los Angeles Times article Michael Eisner was quoted as saying "these guys are the most fiscally responsible people I've ever worked with."

Our award-winning thriller Foreign Body served as a prequel to Robin Cook's novel of the same name, which debuted at #9 on the New York Times bestseller list in the wake of the series. The moody teen mystery Sorority Forever marked our first collaboration with McG's Wonderland Sound and Vision, and served as TheWB.com's first original web series.  Other series included the critically acclaimed comedies Kill Spin and Cockpit as well as the multiple award-winning reality series, Control TV with Seth Green.

I am also an award winning film and television editor having edited 10 features films and numerous television series.
